Midnight Sun Fjords
Fourteen day cruise aboard the SEABOURN PRIDE starting on June 22, 2001 from Copenhagen in Denmark.
Cruise the North and the Norwegian Sea, Flaam, Gudvagen, Molde, Gravdal, Hammerfest, Tromso, Hellesylt, Geiranger, Bergen and Stavanger in Norway, returning in London.
Copenhagen has it all. Savour historic cobbled streets and village squares, people watching at outdoor cafes, pantomime, concerts and dining at the resplendent Tivoli Gardens.
Enclosed on both sides by towering walls of craggy rock, Geirangerfjord is one of the most majestic sights in all of Norway. Ascend Mt. DaIsnibba for breathtaking views of Norway's mountains, lakes and waterfalls.
Hellesylt is a beautiful resort, overlooking the Norwegian fjords. It is the starting point for excursions through a land where waterfalls spread their lacework across the cliffs, and orchards are strung together in a garland of blossom.
The home of the famous Northern Lights Observatory is beautifully situated on a forest-covered isle. An island drive visits the Tromso Museum and the ultra modern cathedral, which symbolizes the ice packs of the Arctic.
Fascinating excursions reveal Bergen's 1,000-year history. See Rosenkrantz Tower before venturing to Troldhaugen and Fantoft Church. Or explore in depth at the Bergen Aquarium, Haakon's Hall and St. Mary's Church.
Tucked between 5,000-foot peaks, in a fjord only a quarter of mile wide, Gudvangen glitters cheerfully in the summer sun, happy for a respite from winter's shadows.
After a dramatic cruise up the pristine Sognefjord, the tiny village of Flaam will appear against the backdrop of sheer cliffs. From the gingerbread railway station, take a zigzagging train ride upwards-through cascading waterfalls and a maze of tunnelsto Myrdal, nearly 3000 feet above the fjords.
This cruise is performed by SEABOURN CRUISES on board SEABOURN PRIDE running on the following dates during year 2001.
