Three Continent Crossing
Fifteen day cruise aboard the SEABOURN LEGEND starting on November 02, 2001 from Malaga in Spain.
Cruise the Atlantic Ocean, Ceuta in Spanish North Africa, Casablanca in Morocco, Funchal in Madeira, Lanzarote and Santa Cruz De Tenerife in Canary Islands, returning in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Malaga, the centre of the fashionable Costa del Sol invites you to play on sun-swept beaches or explore picturesque towns from Torremolinos to Mijas. Visit Granada, and ascend the Sierra Nevada, through orchards of almonds and olives, en route to the Alhambra's Moorish splendours.
Next but not last port is Ceuta, a Spanish touch on the Moroccan area.Spain maintains this tiny slice of the African coast as its own. A day-trip across the border brings you to Tetouan, a picturesque Moroccan town.
Savour Casablanca's exotic blend of African, Arabian and European cultures. Whitewashed houses and holy mosques line the narrow streets of the Medina. The Ain Daib quarter boasts deluxe oceanfront resorts and fine restaurants.
Basking in eternal springtime, Madeira welcomes you to flower-covered hillsides and vineyards of sweet grapes. Descend the steep streets of the Portuguese-style town in a traditional sleigh made of wicker. Then sip the local wine in a sidewalk cafe.
Lanzarote's lunar like landscape of volcanic craters will leave an indelible picture in your mind's eye. Ride a camel up the slopes of the "Fire Mountain" with lava dust in the wake of your dromedary's hooves and La Palma.
Tenerife, "Island of Eternal Spring", is the largest of the Canary Islands, triangular shaped and with a perfect climate and enchanting scenery. It boasts fertile valleys and a huge natural crater named "Las Canadas del Teide".
From the busy harbour it is just a short walk to the historic streets of Old San Juan, where Old World charm still exudes its magic. Outside the city visit the only rainforest on U.S. soil.
This cruise is performed by SEABOURN CRUISES on board SEABOURN LEGEND running on the following dates during year 2001.
