Iberian Romance II
Seven day cruise aboard the SEABOURN GODDESS I starting on November 03, 2001 from Malaga in Spain.
Cruise the Atlantic Ocean, Lanzarote in Canary Islands, Casablanca in Morocco, Gibraltar, Ceuta in Spanish North Africa and Puerto Banus in Spain, returning in Santa Cruz De Tenerife in Canary Islands.
A lively, prosperous city on Spain's fabled Costa del Sol, Malaga is dotted with charming villas and exotic foliage. Travel inland to Granada to discover the Moorish delights of the Alhambra and the Generalife Gardens.
Next but not last port is Ceuta, a Spanish touch on the Moroccan area. Spain maintains this tiny slice of the African coast as its own. A day-trip across the border brings you to Tetouan, a picturesque Moroccan town.
Lanzarote's lunar like landscape of volcanic craters will leave an indelible picture in your mind's eye. Ride a camel up the slopes of the "Fire Mountain" with lava dust in the wake of your dromedary's hooves and La Palma.
Casablanca, Africa's second largest city, retains the romantic air of its namesake film. Enjoy the atmosphere of the Ain Daib area with its wonderful beachfront cafes and restaurants, and explore the Medina, the original Arab Quarter.
When you first see the Rock of Gibraltar, whether it is from the air, from the sea or from either the Costa del Sol or the western end of the Bay, it is its impressive stature, towering isolated above the surrounding countryside, that causes the greatest impact. It has had this effect on people for many thousands of years. Gibraltar is a beacon, which signals the position of the Strait of Gibraltar, the narrow neck which separates Europe from Africa and provides the only link between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.
This cruise is performed by SEABOURN CRUISES on board SEABOURN GODDESS I running on the following dates during year 2001.
