The Hilton Villa Igiea was built following the wishes of the powerful Florio family towards the end of the nineteenth century, with interiors by Ernesto Basile, the master of Italian Art Nouveau. As well as the charm of its atmosphere and its famous salons, the hotel boasts jasmine-scented gardens and a pool perched directly over the sea.At the "Belle Epoque" restaurant it is possible to savour the most famous and traditional Mediterranean dishes. In summer its rooms open out onto the splendid flower-filled terrace with its commanding position over the Gulf of Palermo. It can seat up to 150 guests.During the summer season the poolside restaurant Le Jardin serves the best of Sicilian cuisine.The hotel is a member of the Association of Historical Places in Italy.
