Lucerne is located on the borders of
Lake Lucerne and is a medieval but still modern town nestled in a uniquely beautiful landscape.
The Chapel Bridge, a 204 m long wooden bridge originally built in 1333, of which much of it had to be replaced, in the 1993 fire. Partway across the bridge you will find the octagonal
Water Tower, a fortification from the 13th century.
The Bridge with its
Tower is the city's most famous landmark.
