Al Ain is the second city of the Abu Dhabi Emirate is situated on the eastern coast United Arab Emirates, close to the border with Oman. Al Ain occupies an oasis on the edge of the Al Hajar al Gharbi mountain range.

Al Ain is a centre for agricultural production in the United Arab Emirates for especially dates, dairy and chicken farms are also found there. The city is linked to the rest of the United Arab Emirates by a modern highway system and has recently had an international airport.
The United Arab Emirates University (founded in 1976) is located in Al Ain, there is also a striking fortress from which the rulers of Abu Dhabi once ruled is now a museum which houses a collection of artefacts going back 5000 years.
There are many parks that cater specifically for children with swings, and slides etc, one such park is the Mashrif Childrens Park. Take your children to the Al Ain Zoo and Aquarium where both exotic and local species reside.
