Canoa Quebrada clifs

Visitors have come to Canoa Quebrada in ever increasing numbers, looking for its beautiful beaches with the most bluish waters, white-sand dunes and reddish sea cliffs, to enjoy its sunny and hot weather available all through the year, to bath in crystalline seawaters and go on fun rides along the local coastline.

The Village of Canoa Quebrada is located in the district of Aracati and it offers visitors several leisure options.

During the day, besides the beautiful beach, there is plenty of shade and the service of many thatched-roofed, carnauba wood kiosks that line the beach. There are also many dune buggy rides over the sand dunes, “skibunda” (rides down high dunes on boards), sea rafts, horses, "parajipe" (paragliders pulled by jeeps), "banana boats" and many souvenir shops.

There are many inns for all tastes, and several restaurants that offer diverse specialties, with flexible hours. There is also a very lively nightlife with nightclubs that stay open from 11:30pm to sunrise.

Over the past years, an urbanization project has changed the villages look. The main street, called Broadway, has been paved and began to concentrate most of the novelties and attractions. The beach in turn conserved sections without houses or stands, attracting many foreign tourists, especially in August.

Majorlandia is 12 km from Aracati, in the middle of a dense grove of palm trees. Access is easy over a paved road. It has many beach kiosks as well as restaurants that serve shellfish as their main dish. During the day, besides the beaches, there are also dune buggy and banana boat rides, and much more. At the end of the day, a beautiful sunset can be observed from the top of Urubu Hill.
